TSTO THOH 2017 – Item Calendar [SPOILERS!]

Treehouse of Horror 2017 seems to be the event that is receiving a range of opinions for the hate, the mediocre and the love and for me personally I’m enjoying the overall theme of the event, looking forward to building a Hogwarts style area, can see some super fun content for me but I can see the drag and the mediocrity for people that aren’t Pot(ter)heads like me.

But whether you love or you hate this Marmite event, there is content coming up and I’m sure there’s something for everyone and I definitly think that EA have done an good job at adding some classic items for some not into the Magical tone and I think people need to put in perspective how many years EA have done these events and the struggle EA would have had with making everyone happy with not that much classic THOH content left.

Due to the popularity of the Item Calendars – to me and to my beloved readers – It thought people would appreciate a Calendar to show the upcoming content in the game so – quite obviously – there are going to be SPOILERS so please DON’T read ahead if you’d rather not read that kind of content.

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED …

J Stewart Burns on his workings in TSTO and The Simpsons

Hello my beautiful Tappers and welcome to an interview that is extremely late. Back in late May/early June, I interviewed Michael Price – which was really fun – and I asked him if there were any Simpsons writers that also worked on The Simpsons Tapped Out. He told me about J Stewart Burns who writes for The Simpsons and also helps over at Tapped Out. I soon had his email and was very excited to get a response quickly – especially since he started his reply by saying his wife was about to go into labour! Really don’t know why I didn’t post this interview nearer that time but found this post in my drafts recently …

So I am extremely grateful that J Stewart Burns got back so I hope you enjoy his answers …

Springfield Showcase: Announcement

Hello Tappers,
I would like to quickly apologize for the brief absence from the blog – been away this summer a few times and have really procrastinated writing BUT have loads of really cool ideas so keep your eyes peeled. Anyways …

TSTO is a one of a kind apps where I feel design is 100% user friendly and it truly lets you go free with your creative ideas. The reason I’m not a fan of other “city building” games like the Family Guy game (which has other major flaws in my opinion!), Sims CityBuilder and other building apps is because of the lack of freedom they give you with the design. They give you loads of decoration and buildings and the only “freedom” is where you place them. So yes, you can create some nice looking areas but with TSTO you can use hedges to create mountains, fences to create custom walls, bushes to spell words and there is SO much space for the player to take the decorations that they’ve been given and turn it into some bigger and impressive.

That’s why I wanted to create a space for players to humbly show-off areas of their towns which they are proud of. If you are a TSTO neighbor of mine then you know that my town is an absolute mess that I’ve barely worked on so seeing loads of creations will hopefully inspire me to stop procrastinating and JUST DO IT! So how does this “Showcase” work?…

Homerpalooza Item Calendar [SPOILERS!]

Hello Musical Tappers and welcome to a post that I created to be of guidance for those tappers looking ahead, planning those donut farms and scouting out which items to buy. This Homerpalooza event is chockablock of AMAZING items, in my opinion, so I know my donut bank is going to be low by the end of this festival.

I’m more of a visual reader so I know when looking for spoilers I would have appreciated a visual version of dates and what items were going to hit on each day so read on for a visual calendar of the items to come in this Musical Extravaganza …

THIS POST CONTAINS HEAVY SPOILERS ABOUT THE ITEMS TO COME SO PLEASE DON’T CONTINUE READING IF YOU WOULD RATHER AVOID SPOILERS 😀

Simpsons Analyzer talks The Simpsons and it’s “decline”

Hiya Everybody!… The other week I read an article about a man who had watched every Simpsons episode and mapped out his ratings onto a graph along with some labels to explain. Sol Harris, the man behind the study, watched every episode, gave it a rating out of 10,  worked out the rating average for each season and plotted this on a graph …

I was fascinated by this study so asked Sol, via Twitter, if I could send him questions and he happily agreed. Reading his answers definitely made me think about my opinion on the Simpsons, which I may do a post about, so here are the questions and answers …

TSTO – Some “Singing” Speculation

If you came here to listen to me sing this entire post from the title then get ready to be disappointed 😂

We are mid summer and last day of this Pride Day mini-event so that can only mean one thing … EA give us a two month break to let us enjoy our personal holidays? HAHAHAHAHA …

No. EA have definitely gotten into this routine of update after update and if I’m being honest … I like it. Just as long as they don’t “run out of ideas” because they’re going at an unsustainable rate. So with something lurking around the deep dark corners of the EA servers and from the clues that they’ve given, I’m getting very excited! 😊

Some enjoy some speculation and ideas of what’s to come in the next Tapped Out update …

Michael Price talks The Simpsons and Early Memories

After loving the new Netflix original “F is for Family” and finding out that one of the main creators behind the show, Michael Price, also worked on The Simpsons, I knew I had to send him questions for my blog. Being extremely willing to take the time to answer my questions I am extremely grateful for the answers he gave. So enjoy …

What I Learned from … Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone

Philosphers Book

Whether you call it Philosophers Stone or Scorers Stone – Harry Potter and the [preferred adjective] stone is a beautiful book – in my opinion – that brilliantly sets up an amazing series that has definatly changed the lifes of many children and adults globally. I was definitely one of them. I vividly remember the day that my mum had finished the series and told me I had to start reading them. So I took the first book on our annual Hunstanton trip and could not put it down. I remember going through the series so quickly and crying near the end because I knew there wouldn’t be more to read.

Since Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone was published on the 26th June 1997, it is the 20th anniversary of it’s release! And to mark this milestone I thought I’d break down what the first book in this series taught me as I grew up. I hope you enjoy …

This post does contain SPOILERS of the first book but if you haven’t gotten to the reveal of the first book then where have you been the last 20 years? 😀

A Big Blog Announcement!

Hello guys and popping in today with a quick yet, what I would call, some exciting news for the blog.
As you may know if you read my Li’l life updates over at tapped-out.co.uk, I have MANY interests.
