TSTO THOH 2017 – Item Calendar [SPOILERS!]

Treehouse of Horror 2017 seems to be the event that is receiving a range of opinions for the hate, the mediocre and the love and for me personally I’m enjoying the overall theme of the event, looking forward to building a Hogwarts style area, can see some super fun content for me but I can see the drag and the mediocrity for people that aren’t Pot(ter)heads like me.

But whether you love or you hate this Marmite event, there is content coming up and I’m sure there’s something for everyone and I definitly think that EA have done an good job at adding some classic items for some not into the Magical tone and I think people need to put in perspective how many years EA have done these events and the struggle EA would have had with making everyone happy with not that much classic THOH content left.

Due to the popularity of the Item Calendars – to me and to my beloved readers – It thought people would appreciate a Calendar to show the upcoming content in the game so – quite obviously – there are going to be SPOILERS so please DON’T read ahead if you’d rather not read that kind of content.

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED …

J Stewart Burns on his workings in TSTO and The Simpsons

Hello my beautiful Tappers and welcome to an interview that is extremely late. Back in late May/early June, I interviewed Michael Price – which was really fun – and I asked him if there were any Simpsons writers that also worked on The Simpsons Tapped Out. He told me about J Stewart Burns who writes for The Simpsons and also helps over at Tapped Out. I soon had his email and was very excited to get a response quickly – especially since he started his reply by saying his wife was about to go into labour! Really don’t know why I didn’t post this interview nearer that time but found this post in my drafts recently …

So I am extremely grateful that J Stewart Burns got back so I hope you enjoy his answers …

Homerpalooza Item Calendar [SPOILERS!]

Hello Musical Tappers and welcome to a post that I created to be of guidance for those tappers looking ahead, planning those donut farms and scouting out which items to buy. This Homerpalooza event is chockablock of AMAZING items, in my opinion, so I know my donut bank is going to be low by the end of this festival.

I’m more of a visual reader so I know when looking for spoilers I would have appreciated a visual version of dates and what items were going to hit on each day so read on for a visual calendar of the items to come in this Musical Extravaganza …

THIS POST CONTAINS HEAVY SPOILERS ABOUT THE ITEMS TO COME SO PLEASE DON’T CONTINUE READING IF YOU WOULD RATHER AVOID SPOILERS 😀

TSTO – Some “Singing” Speculation

If you came here to listen to me sing this entire post from the title then get ready to be disappointed 😂

We are mid summer and last day of this Pride Day mini-event so that can only mean one thing … EA give us a two month break to let us enjoy our personal holidays? HAHAHAHAHA …

No. EA have definitely gotten into this routine of update after update and if I’m being honest … I like it. Just as long as they don’t “run out of ideas” because they’re going at an unsustainable rate. So with something lurking around the deep dark corners of the EA servers and from the clues that they’ve given, I’m getting very excited! 😊

Some enjoy some speculation and ideas of what’s to come in the next Tapped Out update …

What I Learned from … Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone

Philosphers Book

Whether you call it Philosophers Stone or Scorers Stone – Harry Potter and the [preferred adjective] stone is a beautiful book – in my opinion – that brilliantly sets up an amazing series that has definatly changed the lifes of many children and adults globally. I was definitely one of them. I vividly remember the day that my mum had finished the series and told me I had to start reading them. So I took the first book on our annual Hunstanton trip and could not put it down. I remember going through the series so quickly and crying near the end because I knew there wouldn’t be more to read.

Since Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone was published on the 26th June 1997, it is the 20th anniversary of it’s release! And to mark this milestone I thought I’d break down what the first book in this series taught me as I grew up. I hope you enjoy …

This post does contain SPOILERS of the first book but if you haven’t gotten to the reveal of the first book then where have you been the last 20 years? 😀

A Talk about TSTO Mothers

First of all, Happy Mother’s Day to all you amazing mum’s out there that work your socks off for your family – you’re amazing! Let’s use this day to celebrate the amazing deeds that mum’s worldwide do out of the kindness in their hearts

With today being the day for Mother’s, I thought I would do an organised ramble about TSTO mum’s: the ones we have and the ones we don’t have yet.

DISCLAIMER: to all you Americans out there … no, I have not misspelled ‘mom’ throughout the post, I just refuse to write anything other then ‘mum’ 😁 …

What event shall I write about?

Dr Nick

Heya everybody, hope everyone is feeling well and surviving Monday so far. EA has given us this Military update in the unexpected form of a mini event. Whether I like it or not is up for another post but, as I count these mini updates as (easy-going) background fun, we have a bit of lull before the next “BIG” thing.

So … I wanted to do something that I keep saying I’ll do and that is share event ideas. I have so many event ideas and I always want to share them but I barely do and it’s a shame so I will start to do more event ideas in between events and maybe a few in events 😁.

Happy Wedding Anniversary Homer & Marge!

On this day, February 23rd 35 years ago, Marge Bouvier and Homer Simpson got married!

Marge: Maybe our next anniversary will be romantic. Aww, look, Homey, our wedding cake!

Homer: You mean there’s been cake in our freezer for eleven years? Why was I not informed?

If the Simpsons didn’t exist on a floating timeline (so characters don’t age, basically) then it would be their 35th Wedding Anniversary after being married on February 23rd in 1982. That’s impressive! I’ll have whatever anti-aging products their using …

We first get a glimpse into the relationship of Homer and Marge before marriage in the episode “I Married Marge” which is episode 12 of season 3.
Season 3 is probably my favourite Simpsons Season due to many of my favourite episodes featuring in this season and this episode is no different. It’s got jokes, heart, flashbacks and quotable dialogue all packed into a really sweet episode.
(Seriously, if you haven’t watched it then 1) *rolls eyes* and … 2) watch it! You have to today because of their anniversary)

To sum up this great episode here is the SimpsonsWikia synopsis:
In flashback, the year is 1980, and Homer andMarge are dating. After seeing a Star Warsmovie, they get busy afterwards – and Marge finds out she is pregnant with Bart. When Homer finds out, he proposes to her, and then tries to find a higher paying job. He goes to the new power plant, only to be rejected. When the baby’s things are repossessed, Homer decides they’ll be better off without him – until Marge comes to find him.

This episode teachers that nothing can stand in the way of love. The love that Homer and Marge portray is so sweet, you can’t help but love the animated couple.
Let’s face it … Homer can be a jerk. Although beer and other stuff persuades him, he often finds himself back with Marge and no matter what stupid things they do against each other, nothing can stop their love ❤. Marge see’s behind his silliness and flabs and see’s the fatherly love that has developed in him.

(I better stop now before I start tearing up 😁 …)

How has Marge’s and Homer’s relationship affected your love life? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below and Happy Tapping …

Around the World in 10 Days #5: Tanzania

Howdy tappers. Here on a Friday evening for another Around the World in 10 Days post. Yep, we’re at Number 5. We’re halfway there and I have a bit of a confession to make … We got all of the great ones done first. Sorry, but we’ve only got good, mediocre and meh ones left. This was by accident because I chose the country order by starting with UK and going the most “sensible” journey around the world, ending at Brazil because that’s the Act 3 theme.

Put your shirts and shorts on because we’re going somewhere hot with some beautiful picture opportunities (so yes, your phone has other abilities then Tapped Out *gasp*)

So … Enjoy your ride to Tanzania

Chinese New Year 2017: The Guide

Yesterday EA gave us a little something to let our resting fingers tappa tappa tappa in wait of the “next big thing” and gave us a little Lunar New Year update to celebrate the Chinese New Year.
It is a small update, to fill the gap between the next thing EA has in store for us, with some items in store and a short questline for us to work our way through. Time to decorate for the Chinese New Year!

Being a baby blog site there is no point in doing loads of small posts about individual parts of updates (seperate should I buys, questlines etc) but I do like to do one BIG post with every info you should need about an update (tend to only do these for mini events and updates – major events get to big) so here is your All-In-One post for the Lunar New Year update …

SPECULATION

This is where I will link the speculation post when it is published.

GAMEPLAY

We don’t do full walkthroughs here but find a walkthrough of the gameplay HERE but it is 3 parts of gameplay that consists of using the Simpsons family (and Ned for one part) and then on the 28th of January 3 more parts of gameplay unlock and SMALL SPOILER on the 31st of January you will unlock a special decoration.
SMALL SPOILER END

ITEMS IN STORE

Chinese Lantern – 5000

Quick Review: It’s a decoration so mainly personal choice but they’re freemium so pick up as many as you can and want. I’m decorating my town with these lanterns to celebrate the Lunar New Year.

Chinese Junk – 75

Quick Review: Not the biggest fan of this one and will personally be passing but if you are a fan of ships, water items or the Chinese design then you might want to pick it up. No payout, No questline, No tasks but 2.5% bonus on all cash and XP.

Giant Takeout Box – 50

Quick Review: Love this item and I don’t know why. Fun decoration that will forever be my inspiration and decision decider. Everytime you tap it you get 1 out of 22 fortunes in the form of a dialogue bubble (..thing😛). These include Watch your step, You learn from your mistakes, You will learn a lot today, The fortune you seek is in another cookie and 18 more. Consider this purchase if you have many more donuts for whatever is coming next.

Giant Wall – 60

Quick Review: I like this item. Pick it up if you have the donuts. On ‘How it Works’ go to Giant Wall information😃

Giant Dragon Bundle – 100

Quick Review: 3 enormously tall dragons that cry rainbows when tapped. Great for some designs (might stitch together some of TOuk’s great dragon placements later) including Chinese buildings but for a steep price you might want to pass if the donuts are tight. Conclusion: Meh

GIANT WALL INFORMATION

When you spend the 60 donuts you will get a main tower and two walls (one wonky one way and the other wonky the other). When you place the main tower you can tap it and you will get this:

You can spend 10000 in-game cash to get another tower (doesn’t have a flag) – 24hrs wait – or spend 2000 in-game cash to generate a wall (wonky either way) – with a 3hr wait for it to generate. You can only make one part at a time.

Well I hope you enjoyed that post – took me a while to compile. With the update a small one I think we can call this segment downtime so look out for some speculation about what’s to come and Happy Tapping to all …
