SciFi 2016: Act 3 prize guide

Springfield has gone SciFi for this new event cramped with awesome content including items in prizes. Like all events this event follows the same three act system. It’s the final act and the final week of the event – what waits for us? Not much tbh 🙂

Each act is filled with fun prizes and in the post I will go through the information for each Act 3 prize.

The currency for Act 3 is antimatter ( ), you can collect this in many ways (neighbours, tapping robots and SciFighter) and when you reach enough of antimatter you can unlock prizes – the same 3 act systems that we have had for ages! This post has been put together for reference. It definitely doesn’t mean you should have collected ALL of the prizes by now
Read on …

Reminder: The event, and this act, end 20th of September so collect as much antimatter as possible and collect prizes before then!
There is no reccuring prize questline for Act 3. All of the prizes offer dialogue and some a little quest or feature.

Prize #1 – Mech Robot Decoration

Mech Robot.png
Cost: 2,750 Antimatter.png
Dimensions: 5×5
Payout: $300 & 50XP – 24hrs
When built there is a one part questline which unlocks a permanent animated task for Bart. Here it is:

Ay, Mecha-rumba!

Bart: Check it out! A real live mechanical weapon of war! Does it come from the distant future?
Homer: Nope! We just took a wormhole to Best Buy.
Make Bart Ride the Mech- 7hrs, 66antimatter and 60XP
Ride the Mech is permanent but after the first time you do it, for the quest, it won’t pay out event currency.
Extra Details: No animation or sound when tapped. When Bart is on the task the robot disappears from the stand – at least in most towns – and then when taps it reappears. I don’t think this is a glitch, was added just in case people (nearly) always had Bart on that task – I will (!) – and want the Robot on the stand.

Prize #2 – Crazy Plane Decoration

Cost: 5,500Antimatter.png
Dimensions: 11×12

When you unlock the Crazy Plane you will see this dialogue
Homer: Is this crazy plane safe to fly?
Mecha Hawk: Of course! It’s actually the safest form of crazy travel
Extra Details: Because it is a decoration it is an instant build. No animation, sound or lighting

Prize #3 – Mecha Hawk NPC

Cost: 8,250Antimatter.png
Not much to add about this one. When unlocked you will see the unlock screen:

And then some dialogue:
Homer: Agghhh!
Stephen Hawking: Relax. It’s just a miniature souvenir.
Homer: An 8-foot-tall miniature souvenir! And it’s on my foot!

He is in the Interdimensional Travellers collection and has no tasks (NPC). When tapped he jumps up, laughs and min-rockets fly out his back

So there you have it the (not so) big guide to Act 3 prizes instead of loads of little posts. Some very underwhelming prizes but I guess the Mech Robot and hilarious gameplay/dialogue makes up for it!
Over to YOU … Have you enjoyed the event? What do you think of Act 3? Like the prizes? What do you think to the conclusion gameplay and having Mecha Hawk in your town? Tell us all that, or more, below in the comments! Happy tapping …
